For prevention of rebleeding of gastric and duodenal ulcers:
• Single Bolus 80 mg (two vials ) given as a continuous infusion over 30 min • IV Continuous Infusion 8 mg/h given over 3 days (72 hours). For gastric antisecretory treatment when the oral route is not possible: • Patients with reflux esophagitis should be treated with 40 mg once daily: injection over at least 3 min (40 mg - add 5 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride) • Patients treated symptomatically for reflux disease should be treated with 20 mg once daily: injection over at least 3 min (40 mg - add 5 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride) - inject half of the reconstituted solution (2.5 mL)
